AIR HEATER POWER SELECTION
This table allows you to select a heater to suit your specific needs. You can choose in two ways: select the appropriate heater model on the basis of the column describing the required power of the device (kW column), or by specifying the room volume (m3 column) and the type of its thermal insulation, then select the appropriate heater model.
The following calculations are for a 30 degree temperature rise: if the temperature rises more or less, the result will change proportionally. For example: to raise the temperature 10 degrees will only require 1/3 of the power given in the table.

FORMULA FOR THE CALCULATION OF THE REQUIRED HEAT POWER
V x ΔT x K / 860 = kW
V volume of the room to be heated m3
ΔT required temperature rise (ºC)
K. thermal insulation coefficient (from 0.5 to 3.5)
1 kW = 860 kcal / h
1 kcal / h = 3.97 Btu / h
1 kW = 3412 Btu / h
1 Btu / h = 0.252 kcal / h
K = 0.5
Well-insulated rooms (homes and offices)
K = 0.5
Semi-insulated buildings (garages)
K = 0.5
Poorly insulated rooms (old houses and cellars)
K = 0.5
Uninsulated rooms (wooden or sheet metal buildings, greenhouses)
