The boiler has many overheating protections. The first level of protection is implemented by electronics, which will not allow the water temperature to rise above 85 ° C, and the second level of protection is a safety thermostat (power free - STB), which interrupts pellet dosing when the boiler reaches a critical temperature. The thermostat does not allow the boiler to overheat, reports a fault and extinguishes the boiler. The electronics do not allow the system pressure to be higher than 2.5 bar or lower than 0.6 bar. In both cases, it reports a fault and extinguishes the boiler. Should the electronics fail for any reason, the boiler is equipped with a safety valve which, at a pressure of more than 3 bar, will release the water from the boiler in order to reduce the excess pressure.
Boilers Kepo are also equipped with a pressure switch, whose task is to interrupt pellet dosing and prevent any possibility of smoke escaping into the room, it reports a fault and turns off the boiler in the event of clogging of the exhaust pipes and poor flow of exhaust gases through the chimney. The device is equipped with a mechanical flap, whose task is to reduce the pressure in the combustion chamber in the event of too dynamic ignition, and thus prevents problems in the further operation of the boiler.
